International Techno293 Class Association AGM – Minutes

Date and time: 2nd of November, 18:00

Venue: Sailing Centre of Cyprus Sports Organization, Amathountos 21, 4532 Ayios Tychonas, Limassol, Cyprus

Registration of voting delegates and email votes

Committee members present: Marc Cardon, Benoit Treguilly, Janis Jekabsons, Sara Cholnoky, Ali Masters and Ezio Ferin (6 votes)

The following national class associations appointed delegates were present: BEL, CYP, CZE, EST, FIN, FRA, GBR, GRE, HKG, HUN, ITA, LAT, POL, SVK, (14 votes)

The meeting was quorate with a total of 20 possible votes in the room.

There were no matters arising or questions to the Previous Minutes 

Chairman’s Report

Marc Cardon opened the report by referring to the Events conducted by the Class and thanking the organisers for their efforts in the challenging time. Marc specifically mentioned the:

  • Tplus World Championships in Turkey
  • European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia (230+ competitors)
  • World Championships in Torbole, Italy (300 competitors)
  • World Sailing Worlds for Techno293 Plus

He also referred to the introduction of the U13 division and finished his speech informing the floor of his desire to step down as the Class Chairman.

The Floor thanked Marc with a round of applause.

Financial Statements 

Piotr Oleksiak presented and commented on the 2021 financial statements we presented.

There were no matters arising.

Class Rule change submissions to World Sailing

There were no submissions

Other matters

The 5.0 sail was discussed, and a presentation was made on the following day. It was noted that Tahe opted for a 4.8 design/naming, but the class preferred to stay with the 5.0 as discussed previously.

Future events were presented with introduction of the 2024 events

2024 World Championships – Balatonföldvár, HUN (last week of July)

2024 European Championships – Athens, GRE (OCT/NOV)
