International Techno263 Class Association Annual General Meeting – Minutes

Attendance and quorum
Presentations were made by the President and the Class Secretary. Other members of the Class Committee were present in the room.
The following National Class Associations appointed delegates were present: ESP, FRA, GBR, GRE, HKG, HUN, ISR, ITA, JPN, LAT, POL, SVK, TUR
The meeting was confirmed to be quorate. No votes were taken during the meeting.
Previous Minutes
The minutes of the 2024 Annual General Meeting, previously published on the Class website, were referenced.
There were no matters arising and no questions from the floor. The previous minutes were accepted.
Chairman’s Report
The President presented his report, referring to the return to full activity of the Class and summarising the key events delivered since the last Annual General Meeting.
He thanked organisers, host clubs, volunteers, and officials for their efforts in delivering international and continental championships. He also noted the challenges faced by the Class during the season while highlighting the successful delivery of major events.
The report was received by the meeting.
Financial Statements
The financial statements were presented and commented on by the Class Secretary. The meeting noted the financial position of the Class.
There were no questions or matters arising.
Class Committee Recommendations
No Class Committee recommendations were submitted for consideration.
Class Rule Change Submissions to World Sailing
No submissions for Class Rule changes to World Sailing were received.
Other Submissions
No submissions were received by the published deadline.
Other Matters
5.0 Sail
The status of the 5.0 sail was discussed. The meeting noted feedback from the floor regarding the need to introduce a new one-design solution in order to address concerns of the Class.
It was agreed that the Class Executive will work on a proposal and submit a formal submission regarding the 5.0 sail for consideration at the next Annual General Meeting.
Youth Olympic Games
An update on the Youth Olympic Games pathway was presented, including information on the event format, timeline, and the planned training camps in preparation for Dakar 2026.
Charter
Charter arrangements were discussed, with reference to recent events and operational experience. The importance of charter availability in supporting participation at major championships was noted.
Future Events
The future events calendar was presented, including World, Continental, and Regional Championships.
During the discussion, the floor raised concerns regarding the timing of Class events scheduled for 2026 and their potential overlap with school activities. The meeting requested that the dates of the 2026 Techno293 events be reviewed and, where possible, adjusted.
The Class Secretary undertook to review the 2026 event dates and to work with organisers and relevant stakeholders to make the necessary adjustments.
