Twenty five young windsurfers gathered on the shores of Lake Potrerillos, near Mendoza in Argentina, for the inaugural Techno293 South American Championships. Over the five days, from 20th to 24th March, and under the watchful gaze of olympic coach Hernan Vila, they competed in a 10 race series. [more]The fleet was split into two – a championship fleet and a “promotional” fleet. Affordable equipment, and enough of it, has in the past hampered the development of windsurfing in the region. That is about to change with the gradual introduction of the Techno 293 OD.
