70 competitors representing 6 countries took part in this 26th Edition of the World Festival on the Beach.
Three races, in light winds, were completed on day 1 – but unfortunately conditions were not suitable for racing on the final day.
Team Russia completed a a very successful campaign in Mondello by winning the Sicily Cup and the European Team Championship.
Andrey Zagainov, RUS 1, the 2010 Under 15 Techno World Champion, won all his races, and fellow team member , Eygeniy Ayvazyan (RUS 3), was able to hold off the challenge from Rooz Itamar (ISR 274) to take the silver medal position.
The final member of the RUS Team, Steniya Elfutina (RUS 271) finished second girl overall to Noga Geller (ISR 918) from Israel.
