The Race Committee decided to postpone for 1 hour and the racers did not leave the beach for the first race of day until 1.00pm. The plan was still for back to back races for the first two races – which would be races 4 and 5 of the championship series. Conditions were marginal for both races and it was decided to finish for the day after race 5.

The first discard now comes into play.  Sirichai Phusiri (Thailand) defended his top spot on the leaderboard with a second and a first but 1st Youth Girl, Chung Yuet Yee (Hong Kong), took the bullet in race 4 and now occupies the silver position.  Wing Cheung Ng (Hong Kong) is now third overall, but only one point behind and Kikabhoy Refeek is hot on his heels just one point behind him!  This competition is wide open!
