The 2026 season promises to be another milestone year for the Techno293 and Techno293 Plus classes, with top-level international championships lined up across Europe, Turkey, and Africa.

World Championships – Foca, Turkey

The highlight of the season will be the World Championships, taking place at the Mark Warner Phokaia Beach Resort in Foca, Turkey, during the Easter holiday period for most nations.

  • 3–10 April 2026

  • The schedule features registration and practice racing on the opening weekend, followed by five full days of racing. The championship will conclude with prize giving on 9 April, and departure on 10 April.

European Championships – Sopot, Poland

Mid-summer, attention turns to the Baltic coast where the European Championships will be hosted by Sopocki Klub Żeglarski ERGO Hestia in Sopot, Poland.

  • 18–25 July 2026

  • The regatta opens on 18 July with registration and an opening ceremony, followed by practice racing and a coach meeting on the 19th. Five days of racing will then run from 20–24 July, with the event wrapping up on 24 Julywith the final races and prize giving. Departure is scheduled for 25 July.

  • Sopot is a seasoned international host, having successfully organised both Techno293 World Championships and European Championships in the past.

Youth Olympic Games – Dakar, Senegal

The 2026 season will culminate in the Youth Olympic Games, one of the pinnacle events for the world’s best young windsurfers. Techno293 Plus will again be the pathway equipment.

  • 5–12 November 2026, Dakar, Senegal

  • The regatta format includes five days of racing, ensuring a true test for the best youth athletes from around the world.

Continental Championships

In addition to the Worlds, Europeans, and Youth Olympic Games, Techno293 and Techno293 Plus sailors will have opportunities to compete in regional championships. Dates and venues for Asian, African, South American, and North American Championships will be announced shortly.
