The Championship was attended by 73 helmsmen from 5 countries: Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Chile and Peru. Wind conditions were very varied beginning the first day, Friday 21, with weak winds from the southern sector completing two regattas for all categories. On Saturday 23 the wind rotated to the northeast / east and was of varying intensity allowing three more races to be completed. Sunday 23 dawned with winds from the north which allowed two races to be held in the morning and in the afternoon the wind rotated to the northeast and increased its speed to 18 knots which allowed two races to be held. Due to the direction and intensity of the wind, the Race Commission anchored the course near the coast of the 400
Yacht Club Cordoba, generating a natural stage from where people could enjoy the races from the coast as never before. On Monday 24, first race started at 10 am taking advantage of the north wind of 25 knots, which allowed the realization of three very hard races during the morning and in the afternoon a fourth race was held when the wind was established from the east. In this way 13 races were completed in total since Tuesday 25 could not be run due to lack of wind.
From the Cordoba Windsurf Association we would like to thank the International Windsurfing Association, the Argentine Windsurfing Association, the 400 Yacht Club Cordoba for providing us with the facilities for the event, to the Secretary of Tourism of the Municipality of Villa Carlos Paz and to all the sponsors that made it possible to place the city on the World Windsurfing International scene.
