A further two races were completed on the sixth day of racing in Singapore. The boys were again the first to start in light, and shifty, winds averaging 6 knots, it was going to be a hard day’s racing today! [more]Rafic Mayan (ISR), with a 1st and an 8th, maintained his position at the top of the overall rankings. Michal Cheng (HKG) with two 3rd places remains in second place overall. Kieran Martin (GBR) lost ground to Michal but remains in the bronze medal position. However the performance of the day belongs to Chaneui Kim (KOR) whose two 2nd places today moves him to within one point of Kieran.


In the girls fleet Siripon Kaewduang-Ngam (THA) had another great day, recording two 1st places, moving her further ahead of her nearest rivals. The chasing pack includes Naomi Cohen (ISR), Veronica Fanciulli (ITA) and Valentina Serigos (ARG) – all three girls finishing with 38 points! And not far behind is Lara Lagoa (ESP) who continues her climb through the rankings with a mere 5 pts added from todays races.


Tomorrow is the Medal Race – the final race of the series to decide the podium positions.  So it’s an early nights sleep for the whole fleet tonight as they prepare for the final medal race tommorrow which involves all competitors. Nobody can drop the medal race result so it’s all to play for. Check out the results section which will be updated as soon as full results are published.
