Great Britain’s Kieran Martin jumps for joy as he now sits at the top of the boys’ leaderboard, one point ahead of Tuesday’s leader Israeli Mayan Rafic. Chun Leung Cheng from Hong Kong has dropped to third.[more]
In the girls fleet Italian Veronica Fanciulli sits at the top, 4 points ahead of Audrey Yong Pei Lin. Naomi Cohen has been knocked down to third.
The first discard has come into play after 6 races and made a big difference to places.
Wind was light at the beginning of the day but soon 8 knots was enough to get racing under way. After the finish of the girls’ race the Race Officer sent competitors to the beach to await improvement in dropping winds, but it was not to be so, just the one race each fleet.
The light wind suited Amanda Ng Ling Kai from Singapore who took the bullet in today’s race, just ahead of fellow countryman Audrey, followed by Veronica.
Kieran Martin is settling into this championship well as he took another bullet ahead of Mayan. Vicente Castello from Spain put in a strong performance finishing in third.
Two days to go and all to play for!
