The Youth Olympic Games qualification schedule for the boards gets underway in less than two weeks in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz.


Organised by the Federacion Andaluza de Vela, this European Qualification regatta has attracted a record entry of 150 junior racers representing 17 European nations.[more]


The equipment chosen for the windsurfing event at the Youth Olympic regatta is the Bic Techno 293, a one design class that is devoted to fostering the development of windsurf racing for competitors under the age of 17 years old around the world through the promotion of an inexpensive racing format.


The qualifier is also the 2010 Techno 293 European Championship. There are 4 qualification places for both boys and girls being contested at these championships, which will run from December 27th to January 3rd.
