Announcing the price increase, Peter Durham, Bic Product Manager, said: “We are unfortunately in the position where we are forced to increase the pricing on both the board and the rig package for next season. However we are informing you all now of this increase, so that any clubs or riders planning to purchase equipment at the conclusion of this season may do so until the end of the year at the existing 2009 pricing.
“We will do our utmost to keep the pricing stable between the 2010-2011 season, but the final decision will be influenced by the prevailing economic conditions.”
Class Secretary, Ceri Williams, commented – “Please remember that the pricing of the rigs was already kept stable between the 2008-2009 season as per our agreement with Bic Sport. The T293 One Design represents exceptional value for money and our intention is to keep it that way.”
